My Soul Story Continued From Home Page.....
So I’m going to take you on a journey but first, I want you to close your eyes and imagine everything that you wanted you have. The home, the family, the white picket fence, whatever that is for you, I want you to imagine that because that is where I was at this time in my life that I am going to be sharing with you.....
It’s a time in my life when I had already broken free from living my life feeling like I was in a groundhogs day, I had already left my 20 plus year corporate career that was literally sucking the life out of me to building a coaching and healing business that I absolutely loved. I had an office, the most amazing clients, and where I loved going to work because it didn’t feel like work.
Then my husband got a job opportunity that would answer all of our prayers. This job would take us on a journey from Idaho to Texas. I felt so many emotions. I was so incredibly excited for the new opportunity for my husband and our family, and felt super sad to leave family, friends, and my new business that I had just built. All of these questions kept surfacing, could I do it? Could I go and create my coaching business online?
We had a great plan. My husband’s new job promised us a happy future. I was going to grow my business and literally invest every penny back into it so I could serve more people in a bigger way. My husband was going to make a large salary, and I was going to focus on growing my business.
So my husband and I sold 90% of all of our things, our couch, our washer and dryer, all of the garage and lawn equipment and almost all of our big stuff. Going from a large two story 4-bedroom home, when we arrived in Missouri city we downsized to a small 2-bedroom apartment size. We packed up our U-Haul and ready for the 1,805 miles that lied ahead of us. With our Durango strapped to the back, we began driving with butterflies in our belly and battling snowstorm after snowstorm from city to city. I remember one night while driving, it was so scary, you are going to think I am exaggerating but I’m not, at every mile marker there was car after car that had gone off the road. It was so scary. We ended up pulling over and getting a hotel and praying that the road would clear. Hindsight now, I see this was very symbolic for the road that lied ahead of our family.
We showed up in Missouri City a couple of days later, so excited for our new. And before we even moved into our new apartment, the unthinkable happened. The guy that was supposed to hire my husband for his new job got fired! It all seemed surreal like I was living someone else’s life. The fear was thick, and the anxiety started. That dream job was gone, and our dream and plan was crumbling before our eyes.
Just to recap everything for you…..
-I closed my office and I have no business…
-We left our comfortable world, as we knew it...
-Said goodbye to family and friends…
-We had sold everything; we didn’t even have furniture to fill our apartment....
Neither of us had a job now; I had no business, which meant no money coming in for either of us. So, I’m sure you can only imagine what we both were feeling and thinking. It was one of the scariest and worst times in both of our lives. We had our little 4-year old that was counting on us and we needed to be strong. I realized in this moment, every single thing that I had ever learned in my career and everything I did to build my business, I now needed to amplify and kick something into high gear! I needed to make money, and make money fast. So I began focusing on expanding this incredible non-profit women’s organization called ‘Sisterhood Connections’, I found someone to partner with me to grow it and I began coaching online with many of my clients from Idaho. I began making money with coaching while building the non-profit. My husband got a job, it didn’t pay well, but it was something. We needed to figure out our next move, make a new plan.
I want to paint this picture for you, we had no furniture; Literally our living room was a TV and two of my chairs that were from my office in Boise. This was my workspace for a long while, that and the kitchen table. Some people who have a lot of stress deal with it by sleeping more or emotional eating. Some people don’t eat, and for me, I worked. I overloaded my plate, because this way I didn’t have to deal with what I was feeling. I didn’t have time. I have always been this way. I remember a time when I was a teenager and I was so nervous about doing my first speech, I literally cleaned the house, organized the garage and did yard work. I kept myself busy all day that Sunday before school the next day.
On a positive note, through this time I was also able to write my first book, 44 days returning to love. But it was ridiculous because I was working around the clock and not taking very good care of myself. I would work a few hours to build our non-profit and then have client sessions to pay the bills. I juggled this while I took care of the household stuff with cooking and cleaning, spend some time with my son, and each night I would stay up late and write in my book. Go to bed and get 2-4 hours of sleep, get up early and start again. This way there was no time to feel the stress.

Boy, God will sure remind you of humility when it’s needed. I realized how I had taken for granted some areas in my life. I took for granted not having to worry about checking my bank account balance in order to buy groceries. And taking for granted the feeling of not having to worry if I had enough money to pay our house payment, our water or electricity bill. The basic needs that we have as humans.
And then we hit another wall.
After some time, my husband still couldn’t find a job to pay a decent income. We lived in a nice community with a nice gated apartment, but the cost of living was a lot more than Idaho. Sure we could move, but at this point, we had already given up so much and to give up our safety because of money, just didn’t seem worth it. We contemplated moving back to Idaho, and I think if we had the money to move back, we would have chosen that route. But, we ended up doing the only thing we felt we could do. We swallowed our pride and we moved in with my in-laws. This was literally one of the hardest things we both have ever had to do. Since the age of 17 I had always been proud to say that I have made my own way, not needing help and certainly I had never lived with anyone.
So, here we were, moving to another state, yet again. This time though, we were moving to Louisiana. And then, I hit another wall.
Not long after getting settled in our new place, in a new State, my business partner decided to end the partnership. I knew I couldn’t run Sisterhood Connections on my own, and to be honest, it wasn’t making money and it took a whole lot of time for what we built. Sure it served lots of women, we did phenomenal and amazing things, but we all know that stuff unfortunately doesn’t pay the bills.
So, here I was once again, and I’m definitely seeing a pattern here. One more business I walked away from. It was one of the most gut wrenching and emotional decisions I made. I kept going back and forth with feeling that I could juggle it all, but I knew I needed to do things differently, and I have always believed that everything happens for a reason.
The golden nugget for me was when I realized that it literally took losing everything to really understand the power that is inside of me, and to step into that power of who God created me to be. I realized that every ‘failure’ and every bad thing that ever happened to me was reminding me of how incredible God made me. Like the saying goes your mess is your message.

My book ‘Who were you before the world told you who to be’, was born through that experience. And it was through that very experience that I figuratively put the crown on my head and spread my wings. And what I have discovered is that all of the disappointments we as a couple experienced, empowered my marriage to build trust in one another. When all trust was gone and there was no one else that we could trust in, we trusted in the Lord and in each other because it’s all we had was our faith. All of the bumps in the road, when I fell flat on my face, was there to give me the strength to walk with my clients to help them up in their journey. And all of the struggles I experienced was so that I could rebuild the most important relationship in my life; my relationship with God and rebuilding my faith. I came to realize that everything in my life, up until this point has been on purpose for a purpose and it took me being fiercely faithful to get there.
And fast-forward to today, my hubby ended up getting the same job we initially moved to Texas for, just with a different company and in a different state, Louisiana. And now I am currently rebuilding my business, and helping others on their journey too. This journey of mine is still unfolding, never-ending and I would love for you to stay with me and watch how it all unfolds…..

What I believe is...

  • Many have become conditioned to 'say the right thing', 'do the right thing', follow the crowd, and to fit into some little box (that no one ever really fits into). We were not created to be the same. The world needs you to show up in the fullest expression of YOU, which is fearfully & wonderfully made!
  • Everything in life is about relationships. Relationship with God, relationship with self, spouse, child, parent, sibling, friend, neighbor, boss, a relationship with money, with food, with exercise… The list is endless. Creating strong foundations starting with the most important relationship, the one with God, is the first step to bring balance and harmony to life.
  • Prayer, Faith, and God changes everything. The worst of situations can be cured with this combination. When you build a closer relationship with God, and embrace who He has created you to be, it opens the door for ultimate healing, happiness, and transformation.

What I have learned is...

  • When we feel and look our best, because we are nurturing our body, mind, and spirit, it's a game changer for the way we live and our contribution to the world.
  • When we give ourself permission to embrace our quirks and what some would define as flaws, we not only give ourself permission to be who God created us to be but we also find that those things are really our superpower.
  • When we remember to keep things simple and not overcomplicate things, we expand our mental and emotional energy, ignite our creativity and spark passion in our life.
  • When we learn to be fiercely faithful in all the areas of our life, something incredible takes place. We begin living on purpose for a purpose and understand that we cannot fail. God's powers are activated through faith, faith of a mustard seed.

What I offer is...

  • Help you build a strong foundation in your relationships, life and business.
  • Share ways to help bring balance and harmony to your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical body.
  • Walk with you to become fiercely faithful, as you learn to trust in God’s plan for your life.
  • Guide you to walk on your path of your purpose, and discover your spiritual gifts and divine design.
  • Help you come out of hiding, build your confidence, share your soul story, while creating courses & programs that reflect who God created you to be.
  • Pray with you and for you, your family, and loved ones; to pray for your life, health, happiness, abundance, loved ones, and your salvation.
  • Remind you of living your life on purpose for a purpose, unapologetically embracing who God created you to be. (Jeremiah 29:11)
